The circled points can be used on each side of the engine block to connect the engine heater hoses. Using this method will create a “loop” that will allow even heating temperature.
Option #1 Engine heater hose connection point. Remove 90* fitting from each side of the block and install a t-piece that will allow hose connection to engine heater.
Option #2 Engine heater hose connection point. This “drain plug” on each side of the block can be used to connect engine heater hoses CAUTION – this connection may require removal of oil pan to install 90* fitting to block.
Option #3 Engine heater hose connection point. CAUTION – this connection method may require drilling and thread tapping prior to engine assembly.
Correct Radiator Fill point. Radiator fill point is above the radiator return lines.
Incorrect Radiator Fill Point. Radiator fill point is below the radiator return lines.
THIS WILL CAUSE AIR POCKETS AND NOT ALLOW HEATER TO OPERATE CORRECTLY. Damage may occur to the engine heater due to this!
When filling the cooling system it is recommended to “bleed” any air pockets that may have been created.
